Inclusive Services

Gator Health defines health equity as a condition where all students have the skills and fair access to resources to achieve the best possible physical, emotional, and social well-being.

To achieve this Gator Health strives to provide a high standard of inclusive services, intentionally partner with campus groups that support historically underserved students, celebrate cultural wellness, seek to repair the harm done by the medical community to marginalized communities, and work to address white supremacy and other forms of oppression on health and well-being.

Resources Especially For...

Medical and wellness institutions have historically underserved and harmed the black community. This has led to unjust health disparities in black communities. We at SF State are committed to ending the war on black health and providing inclusive and high-quality services to our black students.

SF State welcomes you and cares about your health and wellbeing. We recognize that accessing health care and resources can be challenging. All registered students can access services at the HFFUs regardless of legal status.

Our goal is to provide high-quality LGBTQ+ inclusive services to our community. Our clinicians are committed to adopting LGBTQ+ inclusive best practices, including Trans Affirming Care, and a safe and respectful place to care for your health and well-being.

All appointments with SHS or CAPS are confidential. By law your parents, friends, professors, government offices, or other school officials do not have access to your SF State medical records. Learn more about SHS Patient Rights and Responsibilities and CAPS Confidentiality Policy.

The HFFUs welcome all current or former members of the armed forces. Veteran students are able to access campus health and well-being services along with their VA services, such as general primary care, nutrition services, mental health and psychiatry services.
