Mental Health Services

A one-hour workshop that will equip students with tools for tackling depression and tracking changing moods while building long-term coping skills.

*This workshop is not appropriate for anyone who is experiencing a desire to self-harm.  

Facilitator: Taghi Amjadi, PhD, LMFT  

Date and Time: Six sessions, Wednesdays at 11 am, September 24, October 8, October 22, November 5 &19, and December 3.  (No meeting during Fall break). 

Location: Gator Student Health Center, 3rd floor

The purpose of this workshop is to enhance students’ self-care through mindfulness practice. Learn how to better cope with anxiety and stress through meditative practices, as well as increase self-awareness and self-compassion. The focus is on allowing participants to practice in a supportive environment.

Date and Time: 6 sessions at 3:00-3:50 pm, on Wednesdays  

(Sep. 17th; Oct 1, 15, and 29, November 12, and 19th)

An open support group for students who identify as LGBTQ+, including intersex, asexual, and/or pansexual, to have a safe space to talk and build a sense of community. Discussion topics are developed by group members and can include intersectionality of identity, coming out, relationships, dating, transitioning, harassment, discrimination, and acceptance. Drop in or come as often as you like!

Finals can be stressful and an energy drain, so find ways to renourish and provide some energy gains! Take a break at the Gator Student Health Center – Wellness Hub, where we’ll have different stress relief giveaways, resources, and study snacks.
